Common Questions

Biblical answers to questions that often arise while studying the Plan of Salvation — especially around baptism, faith, and common objections.

If you haven't yet walked through the Plan of Salvation, starting there first will give these answers important context.

We are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), but Scripture also teaches that baptism is the moment God's grace washes away our sins (Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21). Baptism is not a meritorious work we earn salvation by; it is an act of faith and obedience in which we submit to what God has commanded. Naaman dipping in the Jordan (2 Kings 5) did not earn his cleansing — God did the cleansing when Naaman obeyed.
