Scripture Reading

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." — HEBREWS 11:6 "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent." — ACTS 17:30

Explanation of the Passage

Faith is a trusting reliance on God's promises. Repentance is a change of mind that leads to a change of direction—turning away from sin and turning toward God. Both are essential for conversion.

Giving the Sense

Faith and repentance are two sides of the same coin. You cannot truly believe in God without wanting to turn away from what He hates. Repentance is the fruit of a genuine, living faith.

Understanding the Truth

Saving faith is more than just mental agreement; it is an active trust that manifests in obedience. Repentance is not just being sorry for sin, but making a decision to leave it behind.
