Scripture Reading
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" — JOHN 14:6 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." — ACTS 4:12
Explanation of the Passage
Jesus is the Son of God who became man to pay the price for our sins. He is the unique mediator between God and man. His life, death, and resurrection are the only foundation for our hope of eternal life.
Giving the Sense
Jesus is not one of many ways; He is the 'only' way. The sense of His mission is substitution—He took the punishment we deserved so we could receive the life He earned.
Understanding the Truth
To be saved, one must put their total trust in Jesus Christ alone. No other religious leader, philosophy, or personal merit can provide the forgiveness of sins.
