Scripture Reading
"Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." — ACTS 2:47 "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all." — EPHESIANS 4:4-6
Explanation of the Passage
The church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have been saved. It is not a building or a human organization, but a divine family. God intends for every Christian to be part of His unified body.
Giving the Sense
The sense of the church is unity and identity. There is only 'one body' because there is only one Christ. When we are saved, the Lord adds us to His church; we do not 'join' it like a club.
Understanding the Truth
Christians are called to work together in love and unity. We have a responsibility to our brothers and sisters in Christ and a collective mission to the world.
